Fashion store Ted Baker will open a chain of mini department stores, up to five times the size of its largest outlets, as the next stage of its growth in the UK.
The first flagship store of up to 15,000 sq ft (1,400 sq m) is likely to be at 9-10 Floral Street in Londons Covent Garden currently the HQ of Uth, the fashion chain formerly known as Jigsaw. The store will be branded Teds World.
It comes at a time when fashion chains are opening larger shops and demanding bigger units from landlords in a bid to sell more goods.
