Teddy-bear maker Russ Berrie has relocated its South coast operation to an 84,000 sq ft warehouse/office headquarters at Dawnay Day Property Investment’s Stoke Park in Eastleigh.
The manufacturer and distributor, represented by Humberts and Young & Butt, has taken a new full repairing and insuring lease of the Tower Lane property on a 10-year lease.
Vail Williams and Young & Butt acted for Dawnay Day Property Investment.
The group is downsizing in the area and last month sold its former 155,000 sq ft warehouse/office block in Totton, Southampton to US car satellite navigation group Garmin.
The 2002-built complex located on a 12-acre site on Totton’s Hounsdown Business Park comprises around 129,000 sq ft of warehouse and 21,000 sq ft of offices.
Humberts acted for Russ Berrie. Newton Scott acted for Garmin.
Humberts director Andrew Archibald said: “Russ Berrie will be installing a new state-of-the-art sophisticated computerised racking and handling system in the warehouse to ensure optimum efficiency and this needs to be up and running before they can relocate.”
