Former Teesland chief executive Mickola Wilson and Teesland colleagues Darren Fennell and Brett Robinson have formed a new management team at fund manager Seven Dials.

The three originally worked together at Guardian Royal Exchange and then on key projects for Teesland.

At Seven Dials they will take up positions as joint directors and plan to launch a range of new commercial property funds based on small portfolios of UK property.

The funds will be aimed at private investors and small institutions wishing to gain access to the market at a low point in the cycle.

Wilson said: “Along with the launch of the new funds, immediate plans include specific focus on building up the existing Seven Dials European Property Fund.

“With further equity to invest, the team are considering some very interesting opportunities which should be available on attractive terms given the current stage of the property cycle in Europe.”

Darren Fennell is managing director of property advisory and investment company Orange Properties and Brett Robinson is founder of Seven Dials.

The three were responsible for the launch of Teesland’s listed Advantage Property Income Trust, which was its first fund aimed at the public market.
