Teesland Group has won consent for 185,800 sq m (2m sq ft) of industrial and distribution space on one of the largest greenfield sites in northern England.
The 81ha (200-acre) site earmarked for the £100m scheme, to be known as Redhouse Interchange, is located at Jctn 38 of the A1(M). The developer plans to target industrial and distribution occupiers with requirements of over 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft).
Teesland’s Mark Hancock said: “The necessary infrastructure works to open up the site will be commencing in June this year. We will be able to offer occupation of completed units from January 2001 on freehold or leasehold terms.”
