Telecoms tower group makes call on new Square Mile office

A London-listed telecoms infrastructure company is sealing a deal for a different kind of tower, lining up office space in the Square Mile at Mitsubishi Estate London and Stanhope’s 8 Bishopsgate, EC3.

Helios Towers, which has a 14,000-site strong portfolio of telecoms towers across the Middle East and Africa, is set to take almost 12,000 sq ft on the 21st floor of the 50-storey building. The company will pay £86 per sq ft.

Newmark BH2 is disposing agent on the deal, according to Radius records.

8 Bishopsgate has been filling up quickly, with recent lettings to CFC Underwriting and law firm King & Spalding.

Flexible office operator Huckletree is also close to agreeing a deal to run co-working space in the tower.

Helios Towers, which has been based at 5 Merchant Square, listed in London in 2019. In its latest results, published in November, it said FY23 would be one of its “best ever years” for organic growth, and upped its guidance for EBITDA and cash flow.
