Telereal Trillium has submitted plans for the renovation of the former post office in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
The group’s plans will see the existing post office façade retained and the development of 27 homes and 15,000 sq ft of shops.
The site was vacated by the post office in 2007 and has remained empty since.
A decision from West Norfolk council is expected in late November.
Telereal Trillium development manager Jonny Pitts said: “From the outset we recognised a desire from the community to retain elements of the existing building, which occupies a central site in the town centre. By changing the way it is used, yet being sympathetic to its history, we are hoping this building can once again make a meaningful contribution to the local community.”
