Telereal Trillium eyes Edinburgh hotel prelet

Telereal Trillium is on the hunt for an operator to prelet a hotel development in Edinburgh.

Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed to sign an operator for a lease at Haymarket House which is located at Haymarket Junction to the west of the core city centre.

Telereal Trillium has recently submitted an application to Edinburgh council for a 157-bedroom hotel in the building which is opposite Haymarket railway station.

JLL director, Peter Darroch, said: “Haymarket House is quite simply one of the best located buildings for hotel use within the city centre.  The property has excellent communication links and is within easy reach of the main attractions of the city centre, which will result in the hotel trading at maximum possible occupancy and achieved room rates.”

Darroch continued, “Edinburgh has always benefited from an excellent level of occupancy and achieved room rates which have led to significant operator demand.  However, given the limitations in terms of planning and building size, due to the historic nature of the city centre, there are few available quality sites such as Haymarket House.”
