AREA Property Partners and Hark have been given the go-ahead to build a major new entertainment hub in Telford town centre.
The plans, which include a nine-screen Odeon and 38,000 sq ft of shops and restaurants, will form an extension the 1m sq ft Telford shopping centre.
Hark had hoped to bring Asda to the town centre, but the supermarket giant decided to buy the council’s old headquarters on the edge of the town to convert to a store. Hark challenged the decision to grant planning for the supermarket, but lost.
