Telford regeneration chief resigns

Sarah Raper, chief executive of economic regeneration company Transforming Telford, is to step down at the end of August.

Raper’s departure follows Telford & Wrekin Council’s announcement that the borough’s economic development and regeneration services will no longer be delivered by Transforming Telford.

Raper launched Transforming Telford in 2007 to drive forward the local Economic Development Strategy.

Peter Roach, chairman of Transforming Telford, said: “Sarah’s strategic vision has delivered invaluable business support and investment services, as well as ambitious regeneration projects for Telford. We thank her for her significant leadership and commitment over the past three years. Her departure will be a real loss to Telford and I offer Sarah our best wishes for success in her future career.”
