Birmingham-based trust Telpa has let 3,858 sq m (41,526 sq ft) of space at its Telford Plaza development in Telford town centre. The lettings are the largest in the Shropshire town since the late 1980s.
Telecoms company Scoot has taken 2,278 sq m (24,525 sq ft) for a new call centre and US company EDS is moving into 1,579 sq m (17,000 sq ft) on two floors at the 16,661 sq m (163,580 sq ft) scheme.
Both companies are believed to have paid close to the quoting rent of £134.50 per sq m (£12:50 per sq ft). Andrew Venables of Grimley, joint letting agent along with Richard Ellis, said; “With the influx of IT expertise we are hoping that further similar companies will also be encouraged to locate in Telford.”
Knight Frank acted for Scoot and Vail Williams represented EDS.
