Tenacity plans a second City tower

Patrick Wong’s Tenacity Group is proposing to turn 55 Gracechurch Street, EC3, into a 31-storey tower.

The plans are aiming to create 285,244 sq ft of office space for small an medium sized businesses, 8,611 sq ft of retail space and 15,069 sq ft of public relam including a public viewing gallery.

The existing nine level building currently provides 51,837 net sq ft office space, which is mainly let to Royal London.

Tenacity Group paid DTZ Investors £69m for the building in 2018.

Tenacity is also looking to redevelop its other City building at 70 Gracechurch Street, EC3.

Late last year Wong revealed plans to replace the 214,000 sq ft property with a 33-storey tower providing 600,000 sq ft of office and retail space.

It is expected that Tenacity will submit a planning application for 70 Gracechurch Street by the end of July.
