Hundreds of residents at a Help to Buy development face a multimillion-pound bill to make their flats safe after the Grenfell Tower fire.
The tenants bought leasehold properties with government assistance less than five years ago in a 1,000-flat development built and owned by the property company Galliard Homes.
Despite being assured that the development in Greenwich, southeast London, was covered by a ten-year building guarantee they have been told that they could be held responsible for replacing cladding of the type that was used on Grenfell Tower.
