Tenants are being sought for the second phase of Kao Park, a new science and technology park in Harlow, named after the inventor of the fibre optic cable.
This follows the preletting of its first building, the 110,652 sq ft Kao One, to tenants in the defence and electronics sector.
Kao Two will comprise 81,536 sq ft of grade-A office space arranged over three floors and will be let on a floor-by-floor basis.
Kao Park is the first scheme in the 35-acre Harlow Enterprise Zone, where £200m is being invested.
It comprises 215,000 sq ft of offices and a 344,445 sq ft data centre, which will be the largest campus data centre in the UK. It is expected to complete in 2017.
CBRE and Lee Baron have been instructed to lease the offices, while Cushman & Wakefield are advising on the data centre.
In September 2015, defence specialist Raytheon UK and global electronics supplier Arrow Electronics signed 15-year leases to take more than 55,000 sq ft each at Kao One.
Kao Park was named after Charles Kao who, with George Hockham, discovered the technology behind fibre optic cable whilst working for Standard Telecommunication Laboratories.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the discovery, which won Kao the 2009 Nobel Prize for Physics.
