Terrace Hill lands Biogen in Maidenhead

Biogen has taken Terrace Hill’s 52,926 sq ft Quantum Two building at Vanwall business park in Maidenhead.

The biotech group is understood to have signed a 15-year lease with a break at year 10 and will pay around £30 per sq ft.

The letting will lift the Thames Valley office market. Biogen was expected to sign for the building in December but it decided to go back to market to view other options at the beginning of the year.

Jones Lang LaSalle and Parkinson Brown acted for Terrace Hill; Lambert Smith Hampton acted for Biogen.

Exton Estates and Royal London Asset Management  are also due to sign pharmaceuticals group Steifel this week for 48,880 sq ft at their Luminaire scheme in the Berkshire town at £31 per sq ft.

A source said: “The two deals will be a huge lift for Maidenhead with 100,000 sq ft of space taken up after little activity so far this year.”
