Farrell’s Ken Livingstone-commissioned masterplan has identified the potential locations for major interventions, where public realm improvements could be made as part of long-term improvements.
The locations include:
· Marble Arch
· St Giles Court
· Langham Place
· Rathbone Place
· Hanway Place
· Oxford Street
London’s premier shopping thoroughfare is also lined up for some rapid improvement, within the next 18 months to two years. TfL terms these initiatives its “quick wins”:
These projects consist of small-scale improvements for which TfL has already obtained funding. They mainly concern bus circulations (routes? routing?) and improvements to pedestrian crossings.
