Tesco has secured a trio of prelets for its £150m New Square scheme in Sandwell, West Bromwich, which is due to open later this month.
Poundworld, Real China and Greggs have all agreed 10-year leases at the centre, which will be anchored by a 50,000 sq ft Primark currently in the process of being fitted out.
Poundworld will occupy 7,800 sq ft, Real China is taking 3,800 sq ft and Greggs is taking a 1,000 sq ft store. The trio join chains Next, JD Sports, Bank and Arcadia brand Outfit in committing to the Tesco scheme.
Tesco leasing and investment manager Jane McFarland said: “West Bromwich has a growing, thriving catchment and we are continuing to receive interest from retailers keen to take space in the centre. We are looking forward to announcing more exciting brands over the coming weeks.”
New Square includes 248,000 sq ft of shops, 36,000 sq ft of cinema and restaurant space.
