Tesco has bought the Paperchase brand and intellectual property from administration, but not its 106 stores.
Administrators from Begbies Traynor said they had failed to find a buyer for the whole businesses, but added that Paperchase would continue trading in the short term, with all stores remaining open as normal.
Tesco said the brand would be brought into its supermarkets “across the UK”.
