Tesco has bought a warehouse by the M25 that will become a dedicated site to fulfil internet orders in and around London.
The retailer is spending £10m on the development, according to a report in the Financial Times, which gives no details of the location of the centre or its size.
The report says the centre is being built to cope with increased volumes of online shopping in the south-east of London and London.
