Tesco has lost its coveted pole position in the games, music and video market to Amazon as more customers move online.
According to figures from Kantar Worldpanel, the troubled supermarket’s share between June and September fell from 20.6% last year to 15.1% in 2014. Amazon’s share rose to 22.5% from 17.6%.
Last year sales of entertainment products in the UK hit £5.3bn.
