Regeneration specialist St Modwen has secured Tesco to anchor its £50m Hednesford Gateway project in Staffordshire.
The supermarket giant will open an 80,000 sq ft store at the 9-acre site. It will sit alongside a 38,000 sq ft terrace of non-food shops and kiosks.
Work on site is set to begin shortly, with completion of the Tesco scheduled for Christmas 2012.
St Modwen won planning consent for the scheme last April.
The redevelopment is the next phase of the wider Hednesford Gateway scheme. This phase also includes a 10,000 sq ft community facility and Drill Hall.
