Tesco’s development arm Spen Hill has today revealed proposals for a £200m retail-led project in
Spen Hill will submit a revised outline planning application for the 500,000 sq ft scheme by December.
The Glenn Howells-designed project includes a 140,000 sq ft Tesco Extra store, a 217,000 sq ft shopping scheme anchored by a 90,000 sq ft department store, more than 60,000 sq ft of leisure and 36,000 sq ft of offices.
The scheme will be funded by internal sources.
Work on site will start in July 2009, with completion due in October 2011.
