Soft furnishings retailer Textiles Direct has filed a notice of its intention to appoint administrators.
The 60-store group is understood to have lined up Manchester-based Lucas Johnson as administrator.
Textiles Direct completed a company voluntary arrangement in 2010. It struck a deal to slash the rent on 20 stores by 90% for three years and pay monthly rent on all its stores.
It follows a number of administrations this year, including music retailer HMV, camera retailer Jessops and Blockbuster.
