TfL and Grainger unveil designs for Lambeth BTR

Transport for London and Grainger have released the first images of a planned build-to-rent scheme at Montford Place, in Lambeth, SE11.

The site, which has been used for the construction of the Northern Line extension, will have 140 rental flats, including 40% affordable housing by habitable room.

Montford Place will also include 28,000 sq ft of workspace for local businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs in the community.

Ben Tate, head of BTR at Transport for London, said: “These proposals will help to deliver the homes that the capital desperately needs, while also enhancing the area for the site’s neighbours with the creation of new vibrant workspace opportunities to support the local economy.

“These homes are being specifically designed to provide housing for those who wish to rent rather than buy, helping meet a growing demand.”

The partners, under the Connected Living London partnership, will deliver at least 3,000 BTR homes across the capital.
