London mayor Sadiq Khan has allowed transport for London to sell a site close to Kidbrooke station in Greenwich for less than market value to enable affordable homes to be built on it.
The requirement for 50% affordable housing will reduce the land value significantly, a briefing document said.
There is potentially enough space for some 400 homes and 5,000 sq ft of commercial space on the site, TfL said.
