Transport for London has launched a public consultation over plans to develop 800 homes on its Bollo Lane site in Acton, west London.
It has proposed a high-density residential scheme with additional commercial and employment space. The development will also include public realm and landscaping.
TfL will seek a development partner for the project at a later stage.
Graeme Craig, director of commercial development at TfL, said: “As well as delivering the homes that the capital desperately needs, our plans will also seek to include new commercial units, improvements to the public realm and better connections for pedestrians and cyclists.”
The development comes as part of TfL’s plans to deliver 10,000 homes, half of which will be affordable, by March 2021.
To date, construction has begun of 650 homes with a further 1,000 homes expected to start on site this financial year. The bulk of homes are expected to start on site in 2020/21.
