TfL poaches Cushman agent for Crossrail 2

William JacksonCushman & Wakefield’s William Jackson has been poached by Transport for London to oversee the property strategy for Crossrail 2.

Jackson will be overseeing how TfL land unlocked by Crossrail 2 can be used to deliver 200,000 new homes across London and the South East.

Crossrail 2 will connect Surrey, the south of London and Hertfordshire with new tunnels under London and stations between Wimbledon, Tottenham Hale and New Southgate. The £30bn line is due to be operational by 2033.

Jackson has advised on some of the most iconic buildings in the capital during his 40-year career, including Battersea Power Station, SW8; Rio Tinto’s former St James’s Square headquarters, SW1; and the new US Embassy, SW8.

He is currently development group chairman for London markets at C&W, where he has worked for the past 11 years, specialising in the development of complex projects and creating joint ventures and partnerships.

Jackson previously worked with TfL leading negotiations for it on its joint venture with Capital & Counties on the 11m sq ft mixed-use redevelopment of Earls Court, SW5.

He was also TfL’s strategic adviser to its retail and development strategy.
