Transport for London has received planning permission from Lambeth Council for the residential-led development above its new Underground station at Nine Elms.
It has submitted plans for 332 homes on Pascal Street, SW8, which sits within the Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area.
Plans for the 1.9-acre site include four towers, the tallest of which will be 23 storeys. Three will be dedicated residential, while the fourth will include 54,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space in a separate block.
The application does not include the station itself, which is subject to a separate application awaiting further approval by the council.
The site is next to Barratt’s 645-home development at Nine Elms Point and St Modwen’s 623-home New Covent Garden Market site, Nine Elms Grove.
TfL revealed the 13 partners in its Property Partnerships Framework last month as it ramped up development. Its first phase of 50 sites will provide up to 10,000 homes.
