Westfield has netted US restaurant chain TGI Friday’s for its 1.1m sq ft Westfield Shopping Centre in Derby, East Midlands.
TGI will open a 210-seat restaurant at the city centre shopping centre by the end of February. Fit-out works begin later this month.
A spokesman for TGI Friday’s said: “We are delighted to bring the TGI Friday’s name to Derby. This continues TGI Friday’s strategy of investing in prime locations.
“We hope to release more details about the restaurant in the next few weeks.”
TGI Friday’s confirmed that it had been looking to open a restaurant in the city for around five years.
