TH Real Estate has promoted Michael Neal to head of UK investment.
Neal, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the retail sector, was formerly fund manager of the Henderson UK Retail Warehouse Fund.
His role is a newly created position but prior to his appointment Mike Sales, co-head of TH Real Estate, led investment across the UK.
The appointment is aligned with structural changes across the business, which now has four regional investment heads: Tim Horrocks for Continental Europe, Chris Reilly for Asia-Pacific, and John Cornuke for the Americas.
As a member of the Europe and Asia-Pacific executive leadership team, Neal will provide expertise and accountability across the UK and work with the research and global business development teams on delivering new products and strategies for clients. He will also continue to chair the European and Asia-Pacific Investment Committee.
Jamie Johnson will replace Neal as fund manager of the Retail Warehouse Fund.
Johnson has more than 16 years’ experience in the real estate industry, five of which were as head of asset management for the Retail Warehouse Fund.
Mike Sales, co-head of TH Real Estate, said: “As a business, we are strongly committed to our clients and delivering investment performance for them. Michael’s depth of UK investment experience and expertise are well matched to this philosophy, making him an ideal appointment to lead our UK investment business.
“Meanwhile, Jamie’s experience and strong track record make him an excellent replacement for Michael, to manage one of our flagship UK products.”
