TIAA Henderson Real Estate has set a record rent for the E1 area with its first office letting at the Steward Building, near Spitalfields Market.
Research firm Cognolink has signed a 10-year lease for the top three floors, totalling almost 18,000 sq ft, at a rent of £70 per sq ft.
The Allford Hall Monaghan Morris-designed block comprises just over 48,000 sq ft of offices and 9,000 sq ft of ground-floor shops. The retail elements are fully let to Anthropologie, COS and Hotel Chocolat.
The building is held in TH Real Estate’s Central London Office Fund.
