Thackeray Group has collected more than 85% of rents due from its occupiers for the second quarter.
The group reported that the remaining monies owed for the period covering April to June were subject to ongoing discussions with its tenants on a case-by-case basis. These discussions include tenants being able to pay monthly, rent holidays, rent-free periods and re-gears.
“We understand our role to help support our smaller independent occupiers who are less resilient to a forced closure,” the company said.
“During these uncertain times, Thackeray Group are actively assisting smaller businesses who are suffering financially, by providing concessions to those hit hardest by the effects of the pandemic.
“The impact of Covid-19 continues to affect and challenge many businesses across the globe, and Thackeray’s priorities lie with maintaining those relationships with tenants while ensuring the company’s financial position remains strong in the ever-changing market.”
Thackeray Group is jointly owned by Antony Alberti and Brett Palos since 2012. Its portfolio, known as The Thackeray Estate, includes more than 100 retail outlets across London and the South East, including the recently acquired 10,101 sq ft ground floor of Omega House in Wandsworth (pictured) for over 6.3% NIY, which is currently let to Serenity Interiors trading as Roche Boboisand, over 100 luxury residential units in Chelsea, Putney and the South Bank, as well as office assets across the country.
