The Guinness Partnership appoints developer on Leeds affordable resi

Housing association the Guinness Partnership has selected United Living to deliver a 311-home scheme at Points Cross in Leeds.

The development comprises 100% affordable housing, as shared-ownership and affordable rented homes.

The Points Cross development is the largest in the Guinness Partnership’s 130-year history. It will see 928 homes on the South Bank near Leeds Docks and the Royal Armouries Museum.

Catriona Simons, chief executive of the Guinness Partnership, said: “This site, within the Leeds South Bank Regeneration and Innovation District, is a fantastic opportunity for us to provide more new affordable homes in Leeds.”

The Guinness Partnership has been ramping delivery of affordable housing, while others in the sector have slowed in the wake of the pandemic. This partnership follows the housing association’s acquisition of a 100-home affordable scheme on the Grand Union Canal last month.
