US advisory firm the McDevitt Company, has appointed Dan Hildyard to lead its UK retail business and drive forward expansion plans.
Hildyard is a former executive managing director at Harper Dennis Hobbs and spent 18 years leading the UK agency business.
He left HDH in 2022 to run his own company advising international brands such as Reserved and Barbour with their UK expansion plans.
Hildyard said: “Given McDevitt’s ambitions within the UK retail sector, I look forward to helping to fine-tune its expansion plans as we seek out new opportunities across London, and the wider UK market.”
Wade McDevitt, chief executive of the McDevitt Company, said: “With Dan coming on board, and the experience and contacts he has within the retail market, it is testament to how strongly we believe in the prospects for growth within the UK’s retail market.
“We will also eventually be looking further afield at other sectors, as the strength of the company expands.”
McDevitt founded his eponymous company in 1997. The retail specialist has offices throughout the US, Amsterdam, and London. Clients include Urban Outfitters.
