US outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, The North Face, is to open its first store in Scotland.
The Californian-based company is launching its 2,600 sq ft flagship shop at 155 Buchanan Street, Glasgow.
The North Face have acquired the existing lease, formally held by womens fashion retailer Miss Sixty, which is let at a passing rent of £326,000 annually, and due to expire in 2016.
Stuart Moncur, head of retail services for Cushman & Wakefield in Scotland who handled the acquisition, said: “Interestingly the upper end of Buchanan Street is proving to attract a number of new international brands such as Apple, American Apparel, Starbucks and North Face all within a few hundred yards of each other.”
