The £70m Spiral extension to the V&A museum will probably never be built.
Daniel Libeskind’s design was turned down yesterday for a £15m Heritage Lottery grant.
But there was good news for the Ashmolean in Oxford which won approval in principle for a £15m grant towards a £50m extension by Rick Mather.
