There is much to build on in our capital for industry

In May we welcomed James Murray, London’s deputy mayor for housing and regeneration, to Segro Park Rainham, a key development within our East Plus joint venture with the Greater London Authority.

East Plus is everything that is good about public-private partnerships – an 86-acre regeneration project across the London boroughs of Havering, Newham and Barking and Dagenham, unlocking land that had lain dormant and replacing it with one million square feet of industrial space.

For too long east London had been neglected as a warehouse location, but now logistics groups DHL and DPD, among others, have already committed to East Plus, which was only launched two years ago, and a raft of other community benefits such as training regimes have been triggered as a result.
