THI gets go-ahead for leisure scheme in Camberley, Surrey

Surrey Heath Council has selected THI to develop a 25,700 sq m (276,642 sq ft) leisure scheme in Camberley.

The seven acre town centre site to the west of Park Street is currently occupied by a small number of shops and offices. The council is in the process of calling in the leases. The site is situated on the edge of the existing commercial centre, and THI’s initial plans comprise a 10 screen multiplex, bowling alley, family entertainment centre, three restaurants, three major stores and up to 28 smaller shops.

THI will shorlty submit a planning application and chief executive Carl Lewis said: “We have been in discussion with the Council for some time now and are delighted to have been selected by Surrey Health to be involved in the redevelopment of this town centre site.”
