Third of Primark openings in UK

A third of discount fashion chain Primark’s 1m sq ft of new openings next year will be in the UK.  Primark, which  has 257 stores, 161 of which are in the UK, will open 800,000 sq ft this financial year at home and abroad. Fifteen have opened in the past six months, four of which have been in the UK. The Manchester and Newcastle outlets have been extended. Glasgow will be similarly expanded.
