Data due this week are likely to provide evidence of resilience among businesses following June’s vote to leave the European Union, economists reckon.
The latest reading of the purchasing managers’ index for the services sector is due today, followed by the BRC’s report on retail sales tomorrow.
Official data on manufacturing and construction are also due this week, but these are only for July.
