Thor Equities has confirmed its £40m purchase of 145 Oxford Street, W1, in partnership with London-based Chenavari Investment Managers.

The 8,000 sq ft, five-storey office and retail block is home to several tenants, and close to the new Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station, which will open in 2018.

Thor’s purchase of 145 Oxford Street is in line with its recent expansion in London.

Its holdings in the city also include 105-109 Oxford Street, W1; Bond Street House, 14 Clifford Street, W1; and the Burlington Arcade, W1.

Melissa Gliatta, executive vice president of Thor Equities, said: “The 145 Oxford Street property is ideally located in the heart of one of the most trafficked retail corridors in the world, with strong growth forecast as a result of the area’s major transportation improvements and overall market rejuvenation.”

Levy Real Estate acted for Thor.
