Thousands more homes for West Yorkshire as Homes England steps in

West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Homes England have teamed up to deliver up to 5,000 new homes, including affordable housing, throughout the region.

The move follows successful pilots in Greater Manchester and South Essex, marking Homes England’s third strategic place partnership signed to-date.

The agreement will see partners working on 16 projects, focusing on regeneration and placemaking.

Peter Denton, chief executive at Homes England, said: “We have a desire to work with a public sector, we have a desire to work with a private sector, putting all the skills, experience, and money together to make success and drive change of a place. And one of the outcomes of that will be better housing and affordable housing.”
