Residents of Thurleigh, Bedfordshire, have voiced their opposition to government plans to open a detention centre there for asylum seekers next year.
The residents are angry about the perceived impact the centre would have on community relations, the environment and local property prices.
Another centre is planned for Manston, Kent.
