Ticketmaster scours three UK cities to book call centre

Ticketmaster, the worlds leading entertainment ticketing company, is scouring sites in three UK cities for a 5,574 sq m (60,000 sq ft) call centre.

Cardiff, Manchester and Newcastle are under the microscope and a decision could be reached as early as next month, say sources.

Hillier Parker, which is handling the requirement, would not comment, but in recent days it has focused on at least two Cardiff city centre sites.

It is understood that Ticketmaster is keen to find a building close to a large student population needed to fill early evening vacancies.

The company is also not commenting about its plans, but one agent said: “We believe they need the space sooner rather than later, so its all about who gets out of the starting blocks for them first.”

US-owned Ticketmaster has more than 5,000 clients worldwide, selling more than 80m tickets pa.

It is a division of USA Networks, Inc, a network comprising USA Network, USA Broadcasting, Home Shopping Network, The Sci-Fi Channel, Internet Shopping Network, and Studios USA.
