Time Out selects King’s Cross for new HQ
Time Out has agreed a deal for a new London headquarters at architect Squire & Partners’ former offices in King’s Cross, WC1.
The media company behind the free events, entertainment and culture magazine and city travel guides, has agreed a deal to take 18,000 sq ft at 77 Wicklow Street, close to King’s Cross station.
Monmouth Dean was instructed earlier this year to find Time Out a new office ahead of its relocation from Almacantar’s 125 Shaftesbury Avenue, WC2, where WeWork has agreed to take 140,000 sq ft.
Time Out will pay £47.50 per sq ft for its new offices. Designed by Squire & Partners, 77 Wicklow Street was the architect’s own London office before it acquired and moved to Toplin House at 241-251 Ferndale Road in Brixton, SW9. Architecture firm Heatherwick Studio, which is based next door at 356-364 Grays Inn Road, WC1, subsequently took a lease on the 77 Wicklow Street office and instructed Pilcher Hershman and Fresson and Tee to sublease the space.
