TK Maxx has taken its first UK out-of-town stores.
The discount fashion retailer has signed up for 1,858m2 (20,000 sq ft) at £129 per m2 (£12 per sq ft) at Land Securities’ Team Valley in Gateshead. It has also taken a store at Ing’s Meadowbank park in Edinburgh on similar terms.
Francis Roberts of Colliers Erdman Lewis, which advised TK Maxx in Gateshead, said: “We have a brief to look for a number of sites out of town.”
Land Sec’s Roland Nevett said: ” We are pleased to introduce a retailer who will substantially increase footfall across the park.”
