To Paris on two wheels in one day

With only limited training, James Rawdon-Mogg, senior portfolio manager at Colliers International, cycled 173 miles from Heathfield, East Sussex, to Paris’s Eiffel Tower in less than 25 hours on 28 May.

He undertook the challenge with a group of cyclists from East Sussex and raised £14,747 for the Duchenne Children’s Trust.

“I signed up for the challenge only two weeks beforehand, so training for the event was limited to my five-mile cycle commute to Colliers’ West End office,” Rawdon-Mogg said.

“My regime did little to prepare me for the epic journey, but the worthwhile cause and the amount of money raised spurred me on while peddling at three o’clock in the morning.”

The money raised will be used to fund research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
