Florian Kappes, a former divisional head for The Office Group and Instant Group, has joined flex-focused Technologywithin to help the business expand in Europe.
Technologywithin provides internet services and workspace management software to clients including Workspace, Huckletree and Halkin.
The company has head offices in the Hague and Southampton, as well as a sales office in London.
Kappes has joined the firm as director for Europe. He has worked in the flex office industry since 2008, when he joined Instant Group.
Over more than a decade with the company, he was a sales manager for the EMEA region, then a director in the regional client solutions team, and then managing director for Germany.
He joined The Office Group in January 2022 as head of sales for Germany. He left the company at the start of this year.
In a social media post, Kappes commented on his pivot to technology.
He wrote: “The tech possibilities to empower providers inhouse, smoothen connectivity for clients and to create upselling options are really exciting.”
He added, however, that remaining in the broader flex industry was important to him, saying: “As a bonus this role will allow me to reconnect to many friends across the continent whom I worked with for over a decade.”
