CNM Estates has been granted planning permission for the redevelopment of Tolworth Tower in Kingston upon Thames, south-west London.

The £300m project will see the largely vacant office tower and its surrounding complex redeveloped into 308 new homes.

The 22-storey Tolworth Tower will be partly converted from offices to offer 108 new homes plus 68 serviced flats. 200 homes will be constructed to the front of the site in four new buildings of between five and 19 storeys.

Alongside this, the North Tower will be converted into 78 flats under permitted development rights. The tower’s remaining office accommodation, totalling around 52,959 sq ft will be upgraded, and 10,764 sq ft of retail space will  be created along Tolworth Broadway.

There will be a £3m capital contribution to off-site affordable housing as well as 10 starter homes built, in addition to £425,000 to extend the 281 bus route.   A total community investment package including affordable housing and public realm works of approximately £15m has been agreed.
