West End Colliers departure


David Hume, head of tenant representation in the West End team at Colliers International, is to set up his own firm. IONA will specialise in advising central London office occupiers. He has been a director with Colliers International’s central London team for five years.


 


American allegiance for KF


Knight Frank Residential has formed a strategic alliance with New York-based housing specialist Douglas Elliman. The new residential real estate alliance will have a combined 400 offices across 52 countries, and nearly 20,000 agents. The pair will jointly market more than $38bn (£24bn) of prime and super-prime properties.


 


JLL loses industrial man


Knight Frank has hired JLL’s industrial director Gus Haslam to join its sheds team. Haslam worked for King Sturge and JLL for 17 years, focusing on agency and development work in west London. At JLL he will develop the agency’s business in west London and along the M4 corridor.


 


Mamas & Papas CVA backed


Creditors including landlords of 60 Mamas & Papas shops have voted in favour of a company voluntary arrangement for the business. The CVA, overseen by Deloitte, relates to Mamas & Papas (Retail) Limited, the company that operates Mamas & Papas’ UK stores. It will continue its dialogue with landlords to implement the CVA proposals, which include plans to reduce rent on certain stores.


 


Landlord delays Spurs’ plans


Tottenham Hotspur Football Club said it was “highly unlikely” to meet its 2017 target for a new stadium following a new legal challenge from N17 landlord Archway Sheet Metal Works. The business has applied to challenge a July decision by Eric Pickles ordering a CPO of its land.
