Bruce Nutman, partner and head of retail investment at Knight Frank, has resigned to seek other opportunities after four years with the firm. He previously worked at CBRE and DTZ. John Snow, Knight Frank’s head of commercial, said: “Bruce has made a strong contribution during his time here.”
Chelsfield appoints Loup
Chelsfield Group has appointed Grosvenor Asia Pacific’s chief executive, Nicholas Loup, to spearhead a Far East division. Loup will join as an executive director, based in Hong Kong, in April. The appointment comes three months after Loup announced plans to leave Grosvenor after 25 years. Tara Bernerd, founder of interior design firm Tara Bernerd & Partners, also joins Chelsfield as a non-executive director.
Bird leaps from Frogmore
Legal & General Property has hired Frogmore’s Matthew Bird as senior transactions manager. Bird has been at Frogmore for nine years, most recently as fund manager, overseeing acquisitions and joint ventures. Prior to this he was at Colliers International.
Record rent for Oxford Street
Oxford Street retail rents will hit £1,000 per sq ft in 2015, Savills has forecast. The agent said the rents would rise from a previous high of £928 per sq ft set last year when Dubai retailer The Toy Store took space at West One, W1.
JLL buys social housing firm
JLL has bought Mazars Property Consultancy from accountancy and advisory firm Mazars. The consultancy provides valuation and surveying services to the social housing sector. A team of five, headed by director Dave Chapman, joins JLL’s affordable housing team.
